Feike Sijbesma is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Royal Philips and Co-Chair of the Global Center on Adaptation. He also serves as Climate Leader for the World Bank, a member of the IMF Advisory Board, and Co-Chair of the UN Scaling Up Nutrition Movement. He sits on the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum and is co-founder of the World Economic Forum Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders.
In 2023, Feike founded Darwin International, a specialised advisory firm supporting leaders in navigating complexity, accelerating sustainability transitions, and building resilient, future-ready organisations.
From 2007 to 2020, he was CEO of Royal DSM, leading its transformation from a bulk-chemical company into a purpose-led, science-based leader in nutrition, health, and sustainable living. DSM became a model for sustainable business, delivering strong results while addressing global challenges such as the UN SDGs.
In 2020, he served as the Netherlands’ Special Envoy on Covid-19 and currently holds board roles at Unilever and the Dutch Central Bank.
Feike has received several global honours, including Fortune’s “World’s 50 Greatest Leaders” and Harvard Business Review’s “Best-Performing CEOs,” as well as the UN Humanitarian of the Year Award. He holds degrees in molecular biology and business administration, and executive education from IMD, INSEAD, and Harvard.
